Wings prospect Phillipe Hudon making the wrong kind of impact

This isn't good: Red Wings prospect Phillipe Hudon's been trying to crank up his physical game of late, engaging in fights and taking more penalties due to his scrappy play, but he was ejected from the Victoriaville Tigres' 5-3 loss to Drummondville due to an illegal check to the head of an opponent, and as such, the QMJHL reports that it's suspended Hudon:

The Director of Player Safety of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Raymond Bolduc, announced today that player Philippe Hudon of the Victoriaville Tigres is suspended until further notice for a check to the head. The incident will be studied further before a final decision is rendered.

The Director of Player Safety will be able to take his final decision once he has viewed the videos of the incident, taken into consideration the medical report, spoken to the players and organisations involved and after consulting the disciplinary committee.

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
