Wings’ Practice Update

The beat writers report Weiss is wearing black, normally meant for dmen while skating today.

Quincey not on the ice, Alfredsson skated earlier plus lines have switched: Datsyuk with Bertuzzi and Cleary, Zetterberg with Franzen with an empty wing since the Wings are short on forwards.

Then this...

added 12:40pm, Holland on 105.1 just said it is possible Nyquist could be recalled for tomorrow's game.

But not likely.  DD would need to be out 20-30 games to bring up Nyquist permanently.  I’m guessing Jurco gets a taste, but it might be Ferraro or even Eaves back for 1-2 games.

I’d reeeeeeeeally like some clarification of the Weiss thing.

Do d-men ALWAYS wear black in practice?  Or are there exceptions?  Most of us don’t know about what’s “normal” for practices, or anything about them.

See… it occurs to me I could hate some things more than Weiss on the blueline for a bit.  Things like Smith or Quincey getting more icetime instead.  Yeah I could definitely hate those more.

Yesterday it was Smith possibly playing forward, now it’s Weiss possibly playing D.  You wonder if the madness will ever end…

The best part of the whole interview?  The last sentence Ken utters:
“Some of the players that I signed haven’t performed to the level that I envisioned, that’s on me.”

Admitting you have a problem is the first step towards fixing the problem, so here’s to hoping…
