Wings’ Looking For A “Bounce Back” Game

from Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press,

"In our league, when you win, everything is OK," coach Mike Babcock said after today’s morning skate. "It doesn't matter what your record is. We need to have some success here, and not just from how-we-play point of view but on the points, on the board, because of the standings, the way they are.

"We're right there in the race. The standings aren't an issue for us. We've just got to make sure we're mentally strong enough to play for 60."

The Wings are 3-3-1 since the Olympics, when Babcock said, "We talked about it, after the Olympic break, we've got to win two out of every three. We got off to a good start, and then we lost two in a row. We've got to bounce back."

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
