The Malik Report

Tonight, Chris Chelios will be feted for his time as a…Canuck?

Well shucks, I wish I'd seen this earlier. According to the Moose Jaw Times-Herald, Chris Chelios will be feted for his time as a...Canuck...This evening:

The Moose Jaw Warriors will honour the Moose Jaw Canucks before Saturday night’s game against the Vancouver Giants.

Past members of the Canucks will be introduced before the game including

Chris Chelios who will be inducted in the Hockey Hall of Fame on Nov. 11 following his 26-season National Hockey League career.

The Warriors will be wearing Hockey Hall of Fame jerseys to honour Chelios during the pre-game warm-ups and then will wear throwback Canucks jerseys during the game.

Then the jerseys will be auctioned off to raise funds for the Moose Jaw Humane Society and the Salvation Army.

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
