The Malik Report

The Wings This Week

from Ansar Khan of Mlive,

They face a challenge this week with a three-game trip to Dallas (Tuesday), Arizona (Thursday) and Vegas (Friday).

Here are five things to watch for this week:

Howard has hot hand

Jimmy Howard has excelled in two games, stopping 74-of-77 shots (.961 save percentage) and posting a 1.44 goals-against average. Howard is picking up where he left off (2.10 GAA and .927 save percentage in 26 games last season) and the Red Wings surely will ride the hot goals into Dallas Tuesday. Petr Mrazek's first start could come Friday in Vegas, the second of back-to-back games.

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
