This is the first game Zetterberg has missed this season.

Gustav Nyquist is a healthy scratch, as Mikael Samuelsson returned to the lineup and Johan Franzen is playing after sitting out the third period of Thursday's game in San Jose with a lower-body injury

Is it weird that we put Pav and Z on the same line and Flip centering the second line in our 6-0 ass kicking the first game of the season.

We lose Z unexpectedly, Flip has to center the second line, we’re getting our ass kicked 6-0 again.

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
