Adrain Dater,
Mr. Lynch wasn’t just a great PA announcer, with his big, booming voice and old-school vibe. He was a genuine war hero, fighting for our freedom on the shores of Normandy on D-Day – June 6, 1944.

RIP Bud.
Nice to see the stick tap from much of the hockey world.

An institution as venerable and beloved as “The Joe” itself. Rest in peace, Budd. It is nice that so many hockey folks have posted similar sentiments.

Ernie Harwell, George Kell, and now, Budd Lynch.
The City of Detroit is blessed to have had such great voices gracing the airwaves.
Good night, Mr. Harwell. And “Thanks” for the memories.

My favorite Budd Lynch story is him going to the doctor when he was 90 and the doctor telling him to quit drinking. He tells the doctor “I’m going to get a second opinion”.
Lefty Wilson , Wally Crossman, and now Budd. RIP

About The Malik Report
The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
