I have been hoping for some of the guys who played when it wasn’t so good. Mick’s cronies. They deserve some cheers. Nick Libbett. Reed Larson. Polonich. Danny Grant. Shoot, I hear Henry Boucha is “selling insurance” in northern MN.

I’ll add Bryan “Bugsy” Waston, Marcel Dionne, Jimmy Rutherford, Vaclav Nedomansky (and if Bruce Martyn’s in decent health, to call that name), Steve Chaisson, and Gerard Gallant.

My memory’s shot. Did Brian Rafalski have a retirement ceremony at a game? He’d be another person for the game.

listening to him is a drinking game for me, every time he says ...uhh… DRINK!
i get sloshed.
but he was a hard working player, who hustled every shift for some pretty bad Red Wings teams.

Nedomansky would be great to see, but sorry Bugsy, Steve Chaisson is dead.

About The Malik Report
The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
Lapointe? Dandy? Seriously?
I did not care for Coffey but he’s an actual Legend. Lapointe and Dandenault though…. criminy if Dandy’s in, can Derek Meech be far off?
Or Anders Eriksson, Maxim Kustnetsov, and Dmitri Bykov? Oy…
