Then this move for Legwand makes more sense.  Gotta get immediate veteran centerman help.

Dangles, Zata, Weiss, Helm.  That is a fuched up.

I had suspected Wings knew Datsyuk wasn’t going to immediately play after the Olympics anyway. His knee was bad going in, and worse when it was done, we get just little pieces of info on Dats, slowly leaking out over time that Dats isn’t gonna play, first it was he’s in the first game, then not, then will miss the next game, now 3 weeks. Can’t upset the fans too much right away, just ease them into the bad news.

Blame Sochi Olympics for Pavel’s shut down. He came back too soon and was expected to carry the Russian team, which he did.

Oh bollocks enough of the Olympics already. If Pav hadn’t played in the Olympics he already would’ve been shut down. I’m rather proud of Holland and Babs letting Pav work himself up to play a handful of games before the break so he actually could play in the Olympics.

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
