Red Wings to hold ‘executive fantasy camp’

If you've always wanted to be treated like a Red Wings player, and you've got the money to spend, he Detroit Red Wings are hosting one hell of a fantasy camp experience in August:

Detroit, MI… The Detroit Red Wings will host an exclusive Fantasy Camp, presented by Miller Lite, to give participants the chance of a lifetime to spend three days on and off the ice at Joe Louis Arena with their favorite Hockeytown legends.  This ultimate fan experience is scheduled for August 15-17 and features three days of action with former Red Wings players including Tomas Holmstrom, Kirk Maltby, Chris Osgood and Dallas Drake (alumni participants are subject to change).

Only 26 exclusive slots are available for registration on a first come, first served basis.  All participants will receive one Red Wings personalized jersey, Red Wings hockey socks, a Red Wings practice jersey, two nights at MotorCity Casino Hotel, one Tigers game ticket, one round of golf, a DVD compilation of photos and video from camp, Miller Lite gear and more.  The three-day schedule for camp participants can be found below (event itinerary is subject to change).

The cost of registration for the Detroit Red Wings Fantasy Camp, presented by Miller Lite, is $2,000 per person.  Interested parties are encouraged to visit www.DetroitRedWings.com/fantasycamp for more information.  To register, please contact Phil Pierce, Fan Development and Youth Hockey Manager, at (313) 471-7482 or Phil.Pierce@hockeytown.com.   All participants must be 21 years of age or older to register.

Day One (Thursday, Aug. 15)

    12:00 p.m. – Arrival/check in at Joe Louis Arena
    1:00 p.m. – Lunch
    1:30 p.m. – Welcome from Red Wings radio play-by-play announcer Ken Kal
    2:30 p.m. – Dress for practice
    3:00 p.m. – Practice (one hour)
    5:00 p.m. – Check in to MotorCity Casino Hotel
    6:00 p.m. – Shuttle to Comerica Park
    7:05 p.m. – Detroit Tigers vs. Kansas City Royals
    10:00 p.m. – Shuttle to MotorCity Casino Hotel

Day Two (Friday, Aug. 16)

    8:00 a.m. – Shuttle to Joe Louis Arena
    8:15 a.m. – Dress for practice
    8:45 a.m. – Practice (one hour)
    10:00 a.m. – Breakfast
    10:15 a.m. – Q&A session with former Red Wings great and current broadcaster Mickey Redmond and Red Wings radio play-by-play announcer Ken Kal

    11:15 a.m. – Dress for Game One
    11:30 a.m. – Warm-ups begin
    11:45 a.m. – Game One begins

    1:00 p.m. – Lunch
    1:45 p.m. – Shuttle departs for golf outing
    2:30 p.m. – Tee times
    7:00 p.m. – Dinner at golf course
    8:30 p.m. – Shuttle to MotorCity Casino Hotel

Day Three (Saturday, Aug. 17)

    8:15 a.m. – Shuttle to Joe Louis Arena
    8:30 a.m. – Dress for practice
    9:00 a.m. – Practice (45 minutes)
    10:00 a.m. – Breakfast
    10:30 a.m. – Chalk talk in locker room with Red Wings assistant coach Keith McKittrick
    11:00 a.m. – Tour of Joe Louis Arena
    11:30 a.m. – Tour of Detroit Red Wings locker room
    12:00 p.m. – Pre-game snack
    12:15 p.m. – Dress for Game Two
    12:45 p.m. – Warm-ups begin
    1:15 p.m. – Player introductions and national anthem
    1:30 p.m. – Game Two begins
    3:00 p.m. – Depart Joe Louis Arena
