Red Wings to hold a Hockeytown ‘BrewHaHa’ on April 20th

From the Red Wings' PR department:

HOCKEYTOWN BREWHAHA STREETEATS & CRAFT BEER FEST TAPS INTO JOE LOUIS ARENA ON APRIL 20

... Tickets on Sale now for Special Event Featuring Gourmet Food Truck Fares as Well as Local and Regional Craft Brews …

Detroit, MI... The Detroit Red Wings, under the Hockeytown BrewHaHa brand, are poised to bring another outstanding culinary and craft beer event to Downtown Detroit as the Hockeytown BrewHaHa Street Eats and Craft Beer Fest, presented by Cheli’s Chili, taps into Joe Louis Arena on Saturday, April 20 from 1-5 p.m.  Back by popular demand after the wildly successful inaugural Hockeytown BrewHaHa Craft Beer Dinner last December, the current version focuses on a hot new trend in the culinary industry – street eats!

Influenced by the street food culture in places such as Western Europe and Southeast Asia, the Hockeytown BrewHaHa Street Eats and Craft Beer Fest will feature samples of cuisine presented by Detroit’s own gourmet food truck companies including the Mac Shack, El Guapo, Treat Dreams, Corridor Sausage Co., Ned’s TravelBurger and Green Zebra.

Held on the covered ice surface of the 11-time Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings, the Hockeytown BrewHaHa Street Eats and Craft Beer Fest will also feature samples of some of the best local and regional craft brews, boasting big tastes and hoppy in-your-face flavors.  Guests will have the opportunity to taste a wide variety of beers from ales and lagers, to porters and stouts provided by some of the biggest names in the craft beer industry including Anchor Brewing, Angry Orchard, Arbor Brewing, Arcadia, Bell’s Brewery, Blue Moon, Brewery Vivant, Crispin, Founders, Goose Island, Jolly Pumpkin, Leinenkugel’s, Motor City Brewing Works, New Holland, North Peak, Sam Adams, Saugatuck Brewing Company, Shock Top, Stella Artois and Stone Brewing Co.

Tickets for the Hockeytown BrewHaHa Street Eats and Craft Beer Fest, presented by Cheli’s Chili, are $37.50 apiece and on sale now!  All event guests must be 21 years of age or older.  Guests will receive coupon books upon entry to Joe Louis Arena and can redeem coupons for six, 6-oz. craft beer samples from any of the participating breweries, as well as a sample of the cuisine from each of the six participating food truck vendor stations.  Additional food and beer coupons will be available for purchase as desired.  In addition to sampling street eats and craft brews, guests will also enjoy live music and a behind-the-scenes tour of Joe Louis Arena.  Tickets for the Hockeytown BrewHaHa Street Eats and Craft Beer Fest are available at the Joe Louis Arena box office, all Ticketmaster outlets (1-800-745-3000), or online at http://DetroitRedWings.com/BrewHaHa

.

Additional sponsors of the Hockeytown BrewHaHa Street Eats and Craft Beer Fest include MotorCity Casino Hotel and TitleSource.  MotorCity Casino Hotel is offering Hockeytown BrewHaHa guests special rates on deluxe hotel rooms for $99 or a $125 room package that includes an all-you-can-eat breakfast for two at Assembly Line Buffet.  All MotorCity Casino Hotel room packages include complimentary valet parking and a shuttle to and from the Hockeytown BrewHaHa Street Eats and Craft Beer Fest at Joe Louis Arena.  Packages are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.  For more information or to book your hotel room package, call 1-866-STAY-MCC or visit http://motorcitycasino.com

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
