Red Wings release details of Saturday’s single-game ticket sale at JLA

DetroitRedWings.com's Ayron Sequeira posited a press release regarding the Red Wings' sale of single-game tickets, which begins at 10 AM EDT on Saturday, August 24th. The Red Wings are going to hold special events at the Joe, and will be selling select $9 seats and "Coke Zero Fan Packs" as well:

If you’ve been awaiting the 2013-14 on-sale for Red Wings tickets, Saturday, August 24th is your day.

Individual game tickets, Meijer Coke Zero Fan Packs, and the majority of games played this December at Comerica Park as part of the 2013 SiriusXM® Hockeytown Winter Festival™ all go on sale this Saturday, August 24th at 10 a.m.

Fans can purchase tickets to the above-mentioned events via DetroitRedWings.com, Ticketmaster.com, at Hockeytown Authentics in Troy and at Joe Louis Arena.

In addition, the $9 ticket is back. This annual $9 on-sale, in which fans can snag up to 4 tickets to 2 different DRW games for just $9 per seat, is available ONLY at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office. There will be a limited number of $9 seats available for home games through December 23.

Here is what’s on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m:

1.    All pre-season and regular-season DRW home games

There is a 2 ticket limit for the following March games:

March 6 – Nick Lidstrom Night, March 18 vs. Toronto and March 27 vs. Montreal.
All games designated “premium” have a 4-ticket limit. Premium Games are listed here.

      
2.    Meijer Coke Zero Fan Packs for all pre-season games and for regular-season games on 10/10 (PHX), 10/15 (CBJ), 10/21 (SJ), 11/7 (DAL) and 11/12 (WIN).

The Fan Pack includes 2 tickets, 2 hot dogs and 2 soft drinks for $59. Additional tickets and food vouchers can be purchased at this rate.

3.    Annual $9 Ticket

Each person may only purchase up to 4 tickets for 2 different DRW games at the $9 rate.

Limited quantities of $9 tickets will be on sale for games through December 23, 2013.

$9 tickets can only be purchased at Joe Louis Arena.


4.    2013 SiriusXM® Hockeytown Winter Festival™ games:

Great Lakes Invitational December 27 – 28

12/27 – Michigan State vs. Michigan Tech at 3:30 p.m., Western Michigan vs. University of Michigan at 7 p.m.

12/28 – Consolation game at 3:30 p.m., Championship Game at 7 p.m.

Ontario Hockey League Double Header on December 29

Windsor Spitfires vs. Saginaw Spirit at 1:30 p.m. followed by London Knights vs. Plymouth Whalers at 5 p.m.

American Hockey League on December 30

Toronto Marlies vs. Grand Rapids Griffins at 6 p.m.

 

If you plan on coming to the Joe on Saturday to purchase your 2013-14 tickets here’s what you need to know:

7 a.m. – Guest relations will hand out numbered wristbands to fans in line
8 a.m. – the Olympia Club opens to guests.
Complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, water and donut holes are available.
The ’97 Stanley Cup Banner will be available for photo ops and the Volunteer Energy Red Patrol will be present hosting trivia and other games.
10 a.m. – Joe Louis Arena Box Office opens. Guests will be escorted to the box office in groups of 20 by wristband number. Guests will be allowed to purchase tickets in the order wristbands were distributed; meaning wristband number 1 goes first.

Announcements will be made inside the Olympia Club as games become sold out, particularly of the limited-availability $9 tickets.

With the number of ways to purchase and the various plans available, it’s never been easier to get to the Joe to see the Wings play. Ten and 20 partial-season ticket plans are still available, and can be purchased at DetroitRedWings.com or by calling the sales office at 313.471.7575.
