A native of Bayonne, France, Ouellet has also played in five games with the Griffins this season, showing two assists and a plus-one rating. Prior to turning professional, Ouellet skated in four QMJHL seasons with the Montreal Juniors and Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, registering 160 points (41-119-160) and 177 penalty minutes in 223 games. In 2012-13, he finished ninth on his club with 41 points (10-31-41) in 50 games during the regular season and ranked second among QMJHL defensemen with 16 points (7-9-16) in 15 postseason games.
