Red Wings promoting 16 ‘Viewing Parties’ to be held across Metro Detroit

From the Red Wings' PR department:

RED WINGS OFFICIAL VIEWING PARTIES FOR 2013-14 SEASON KICK OFF ON MONDAY, NOV. 4
... Doug Brown and Jiri Fischer Scheduled to Appear at First Two Parties of the Year …

DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings are proud to announce another year of Red Wings Official Viewing Parties for the 2013-14 season. Red Wings fans will have the opportunity to connect and cheer on the team with hundreds of their peers all throughout the 2013-14 season at a variety of locations throughout Michigan.

The fun kicks off on Monday, Nov. 4, when special guest Doug Brown headlines the first Red Wings Official Viewing Party at the Applebee’s in Woodhaven (23200 Allen Rd.) as the Red Wings travel to Winnipeg to take on the Jets. Doug will be in attendance signing autographs and taking pictures with fans throughout the game. Fans can also play Hockeytown Trivia, enjoy great food and drink specials and get the chance to win player autographed memorabilia and tickets to upcoming Wings games at the Joe.

The Red Wings and MotorCity Casino Hotel will once again stage a number of Official Viewing Parties at Sound Board, the state-of-the-art live performance venue inside MotorCity Casino Hotel. Five viewing parties – including Sunday, Nov. 24, against the Buffalo Sabres, with former Red Wings defenseman Jiri Fischer appearing as a special guest – will be held at Sound Board, which offers 15 big screen TVs on top of the amenities of every Official Viewing Party. Fans are welcome to enjoy free Little Caesars pizza and soft drinks, a variety of interactive games, a photo opportunity with the Red Wings Zamboni, Hockeytown trivia, appearances by members of the Red Wings Alumni Association, $2 draft beers (ages 21+) and chances to win autographed merchandise or tickets to future Red Wings games.

Viewing parties at Sound Board all feature free admission, but tickets are limited and will be made available through Ticketmaster approximately two weeks from each event date. There will be a two-ticket limit per transaction. All guests traveling from Canada will be asked to claim their tickets at Will Call on the day of the event. Only Sound Board viewing parties require tickets; all other Official Red Wings Viewing Parties are open to the public with no ticket required.

Additional viewing parties will be hosted at Hard Rock Café in Detroit, the Palladium in Birmingham courtesy of AT&T as well as additional Applebee’s locations throughout Michigan. A full schedule of Red Wings Official Viewing Parties is listed below. Additional alumni appearances will be announced closer to each date and are subject to change.

It’d be cool if they scheduled some out of town, as I think they have done a couple in the past.  I get a little tired of heading over to the Tin Lizzie in Chicago and watching the games there with a couple other Wings fans…

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
