Well, that iddn't take long,a nd you can consider training camp canceled. The Red Wings released the NHL's statement regarding canceling pre-season games...
NHL ANNOUNCES CANCELLATION OF PRESEASON SCHEDULE THROUGH SEPT. 30
NEW YORK (September 19, 2012) – The National Hockey League announced today the cancellation of the 2012 preseason schedule through Sept. 30. In addition, the 2012 Kraft Hockeyville preseason game, scheduled for Oct. 3 in Belleville , Ontario, has been postponed to 2013.
The cancellation of the schedule was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players’ Association and the NHL.
While the Kraft Hockeyville game has been postponed, many of the scheduled celebrations in the winning community of Stirling-Rawdon, Ontario, will proceed as planned beginning on September 30.
And MLive's Ansar Khan confirms that that four home games for the Red Wings, their ushers, concessions staffers, broadcasters, security personnel, etc. have been canceled as part of the equation:
The NHL has announced that all preseason games through Sept. 30 have been canceled due to the lockout.
That includes four games for the Detroit Red Wings: Sept. 26 at Pittsburgh, Sept. 27 vs. Chicago at Joe Louis Arena, Sept. 28 at Chicago and Sept. 30 vs. Washington at JLA.
That leaves four games that are still scheduled: Oct. 3 vs. Pittsburgh at JLA, Oct. 5 vs. Toronto at JLA, Oct. 6 at Toronto and Oct. 7 at Washington.
But, considering the NHL and NHLPA remain far apart in talks for a new collective bargaining agreement -- the sides haven't had formal discussions in a week and have no meetings planned -- it's not looking promising for those other preseason games or for the start of the regular season on Oct. 11. Detroit's regular season opener is Oct. 12 at home vs. Nashville.
The Red Wings were scheduled to begin training camp in Traverse City on Friday, going on the ice for the first time on Saturday. But camps have been postponed due to the lockout.

Do this every year.
Useless cash grab.
But enough about Ulf Samuelson.
