Red Wings lose another player as Mursak suffers an ‘upper body injury’

Not good, from DetroitRedWings.com's Bill Roose:

Fox Sports Detroit showed an excellent replay of what happened: early in the first period, David Backes launched himself into Mursak at the Wings' bench, and the tip of Mursak's shoulder hit the top of the boards. He managed to finish the first, but did not return.

More as it comes in.

Memo to St. Louis: the Wings are banged up enough as is. You don’t need to add to it. Does the league ever looks at plays like this when injuries occur?

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
