Red Wings’ Hockeyfest to take place on September 14th, tickets on sale next week

DETROIT – The Red Wings today announced that tickets for the 2014 HockeyFest at Joe Louis Arena set for Sunday, Sept. 14 (11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) will go on sale Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 10:00 a.m. This year’s HockeyFest, presented by Coke Zero and Meijer, features an unforgettable day of hockey-related activities, including a chance to meet current players, Red Wings Alumni and FOX Sports Detroit television personalities. General admission adult tickets for this family-friendly event are priced at $20 apiece, while kids tickets (12 & under) are available for $10 each.

In addition to autograph sessions throughout the afternoon with past and present members of the Red Wings, fans will have a chance to play alongside and interact with their favorite current players at various interactive games and pick-up hockey stations on the covered ice and around the concourse of The Joe. This year’s HockeyFest will also feature exclusive tours of the Red Wings’ locker room, Q&A sessions with players, staff and alumni, photo opportunities with the No. 5 Nick Lidstrom Retirement banner and Detroit’s 2008 Stanley Cup Championship banner, a historical memorabilia exhibit and contests and prizes galore for fans in attendance.

Fans can purchase general admission tickets at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office (313-471-7575), any Ticketmaster outlet (800-745-3000) or online at DetroitRedWings.com. A limited number (50) of exclusive Gold Tickets are also available for this event at a cost of $500 apiece. Gold Ticket holders are guaranteed to have two items signed by every Red Wings player and alumnus in attendance at HockeyFest.
