Red Wings’ Health Report

from Chcuk Pleiness of Red Wings Front,

Quick update from the Wings’ morning Monday at Joe Louis Arena.

Forwards Henrik Zetterberg (groin) and Mikael Samuelsson (upper body) won’t play tonight against the Colorado Avalanche.

“Like all groins, day-to-day for 10 of them,” Wings coach Mike Babcock said. “(Samuelsson) went and got looked at this morning so I’m assuming he’ll be ready to go here soon eventually.”

Defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo returns to the lineup after injuring his shoulder in the second game of the season.

continue including a Bertuzzi update but nothing on Helm who did not skate this morning.

Good to hear about Bert, I really hope he continues to progress in a positive manner whether he plays or not. Playing of course is an added bonus.

Center Darren Helm (back) hasn’t been skating.

“I think everybody’s frustrated,’’ Holland said. “I think the doctors are frustrated, I think the training staff is frustrated, I think Helm is frustrated, the coach and manager are frustrated.

I guess it’s safe to say that he’s done for this year.
