Red Wings’ Datsyuk dekes and dangles at KHL All-Star Game, feels badly about leaving Russian fans

The KHL's All-Star Game skills competition took place today in Chelyabinsk, and if you're interested, a little birdie sent Paul and I a video of the shootout event--with Red WIngs forward Pavel Datsyuk showing up around the 7:45 mark...
There are more videos available at the KHL's English-language website, if you are interested in that sort of thing, and KHL Hockey on Twitter has a Datsyuk-specific YouTube clip available...
And RedWingsFeed provides us with somewhat predictable comments from Datsyuk on RSport's website, who would really like to continue playing in Russia--and don't misconstrue his comments here, folks. Datsyuk is a very, very happy and very, very proud Red Wing, but he also feels an enormous responsibility to satisfy his Russian fans as well:
Pavel Datsyuk spoke Saturday of his regret at having to return to the Detroit Red Wings after the lockout and his “enormous desire” to spend the rest of the season in his native Russia.
During the lockout, expected to end Sunday, Datsyuk has starred for big-spending CSKA Moscow in the KHL, and has chosen to delay his return to Detroit so he can play in Sunday’s All-Star game.
“I’d be delighted to stay here in Russia and play the season to the end. There’s just enormous desire,” he said at the All-Star weekend.
“But unfortunately, our desires don’t always match our abilities,” he added, referring to his NHL contract obligations.
In the KHL, Datsyuk scored 11 goals and 25 assists in 31 games for CSKA.
New Jersey Devils wing Ilya Kovalchuk and Boston Bruins goaltender Anton Khudobin have both publically mulled staying in the KHL this season, although both have confirmed they will return to their NHL teams.
I think his comments are understandable (translation errors probably included).

They’re home.
What about that can’t you understand.?
They’ll be back, but a little homesick.
That’s understandable.

Cotton-Eyed Joe + Ice Capades? Kovi and Dats stuck around for that?
