What a bizarre period in a long history of minor league bizarre hockey.

Griffins were leading 4-3 with :59 remaining in the second period.

Now there are 2:30 remaining in the second period and the Griffins are leading 5-4.

Evidently play continued for 3 minutes without a break, the refs looked back and found a Syracuse goal at 16:10, reset the clock, and GR scored immediately on a PP to make it 5-4.

This period is going to last 23:50.

I don’t know what the *#$%@& this is. The play continued, as far as I could tell there was a stoppage, but that’s magically fine. ?????

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
