I appeared on the NHL on XM Satellite Radio’s War Room with Mick Kern and Peter Berce this morning, talking about the trade deadline, mainstream media gripes, Mike Modano’s return and Mike Babcock’s status as an overlooked candidate for the Jack Adams Award as the NHL’s best coach. George, great job in the interview, especially your analysis of Uncle Mike.
And, if anybody “works their butt off” more than you, I’d love for someone to point me in that direction. I am recommending this site, your blog and A to Y to everyone I know who wants the best compilation of hockey scoop there is. (Nice to hear them praise the site during the interview too!)
Here’s to “the one stop shop of hockey blogs!”

I mispronounce my name on purpose.
If I was Czech, which I am, it would be MAH-lik, like your “Pa” or “Ma.”
If I was Arab, which I also am, it would be “Ma-LEEK,” which is self-explanatory.
My dad’s side of the family was both Czech/Slovak and first came from the Arab lands, though we don’t know where, but my mom and dad pronounced it, “MAL-ick,” with “Mal” like “Pal,” so that’s how I pronounce it.
I tried very hard to not sound like an idiot. I think I have a face for radio and a voice for the internet so I did my best, especially as they went pretty hard at the “Angry at the MSM” thing. I believe that bloggers compliment the MSM as a sort of go-between between the fan and the objective media, sort of filling a gap…
That and I am just a plain old fan who’s trying to do this for a living and I like talking to my fellow fans.
