HBO’s latest ‘24/7’ promo focuses on Randy Caryle and Mike Babcock

After posting a HBO 24/7-related press relase this morning, the NHL (via RedWingsFeed) posted a 2-minute "teaser" profiling Toronto Maple Leafs coach Randy Carlyle and Red Wings coach Mike Babcock, mostly focusing on Babcock--and Babcock's very open admission that he doesn't want to have his mistakes highlighted on TV is...Babcockian.

Pretty fascinating to see and hear Babcock set the stage for an all-access series by very bluntly stating that he may display some open hostility to the whole all-access part:

As a Wings fan, I believe that Babcock and Pavel Datsyuk are going to steal the show, with Niklas Kronwall and Todd Bertuzzi likely to surprise you as strong supporting cast members. Henrik Zetterberg really will be a "steady Eddie."

Update: Also via RedWingsFeed, boy howdy, WDIV's Jamie Edmonds notes that Red Wings GM Ken Holland's goalie pads are...Relics of another era...

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
