Grand Rapids Griffins offer fans a different kind of sporting challenge

This is...Different...Per the Grand Rapids Business Journal's David Czurak:

The AHL defending Calder Cup champions are offering what the franchise calls the "Hat Trick," which has been described as “a three-pronged gastronomic test.”

It consists of three jumbo hot dogs with a choice of toppings, a three-patty burger and fries.

The Hat Trick will sell for $20, and whoever can eat the whole thing in 20 sure-to-be-memorable minutes will win a T-shirt and the personal satisfaction of “having consumed an unthinkable number of calories to fuel them as they cheer on the Griffins.”

The Griffins will offer the Hat Trick at every non-Friday home game, with the first one coming up on Wednesday, when they host the Charlotte Checkers.

The delicacy can be ordered at the guest services desk, behind section 104, and picked up at concession stand No. 2, behind section 110.

Continued, with news about the food and beverage choices offered by the Griffins' concessions service, SAVOR, as well as their inspiration for the "Hat Trick" in the West Michigan Whitecaps' sports-related eating challenges...

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
