Grand Rapids Griffins’ execs spent Thursday helping Oklahoma City recover from tornado damage

Pretty remarkable stuff, from WOOD TV's Larry Figurski:

On Thursday, staff members with the Grand Rapids Griffins helped clean up debris in the wake of the deadly tornado that hit the Oklahoma City area on May 20.

The Griffins are in Oklahoma for the AHL Western Conference series.

24 Hour News 8's Larry Figurski is traveling with the team and was with the Griffins staffers as they helped sort through the rubble in Moore, Okla.

Of the three games the Griffins have played against the Oklahoma City Barons in the series, the Barons have won two.

The Griffins next game is Friday night at 8 p.m for Game 4 of the AHL Western Conference in Oklahoma City.

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
