‘Google Translated’: Datsyuk on the Wings’ reboot

Any Russian-speakers in the house? I was looking at the international news just before 6 PM when a quote from Pavel Datsyuk popped up on Championat, citing an interview from NHL.com/ru, the NHL's Russian website. The interview, penned by Sovetsky Sport's Pavel Lysenkov, contains some Datsyukian puns, and it's...it's a bit of a garbled mess through Google Translate.

If anyone's willing to expertly translate, please let me know, because I get the feeling that English-speakers are missing the best parts:

For the first time in a quarter of a century, "Detroit" did not get into the playoffs, and it happened exactly in the season when the team left Pavel Datsyuk. The team is going through a very serious restructuring.

"Once it was supposed to happen - one and the other," Datsyuk believes. "I think the last few years have focused very much on the fact that Detroit has reached the playoffs, and the emotions around knocked down the mood of the players. But you do not just have to get into the Stanley Cup, but fight for the trophy.

"Now started, as it is fashionable to say, a reboot. I think that Detroit will change its priorities. A small step - go to the playoffs, the ultimate goal - the Stanley Cup. It is necessary to go to this. I think the plus is that last season everything happened just like that. From now on, it's time to start a new life. "

The interview continues (very roughly translated)

Update: Henrik Zetterberg gave an interview to Sundsvall's Tidning about his hometown team, Timra IK, but the interview is a subscriber-only one...

George, I just read the interview in Russian. Google translation basically reflects what he said, nothing extraordinary. “Making the playoffs is not enough theme” is something he said in the past.
And Dats wants Z to take care of Z’s beard, of course, not Dara’s beard as the translation made it sound.

I’ve read the Russian original. Translation by Google is pretty close. He hopes Red Wings will draft Svechnikov’s little brother next year.

I just liked how Pavel was translated to Paul, and Evgeny to Eugene.
