The Malik Report

Per Fox Sports Detroit's John Keating, the Red Wings are going to sit Henrik Zetterberg against Florida as his "upper-body injury" is acting up, and with Franzen returning, the team's going to hold Zetterberg out for precautionary reasons.
So much for scratching Cleary.
Update #2: From the AP:
Zetterberg didn't play Sunday night and Ken Holland says the team's leading forward is day-to-day.
He was hurt during Friday night's game against Montreal.
The Red Wings did welcome back forward Johan Franzen against the Panthers after he missed 16 games with a concussion.
Pavel Datsyuk was out for a 10th straight game with a lower-body injury and Holland says the centre is day-to-day. Jimmy Howard missed a third game in a row with an injured left knee and Holland says the goaltender might play Tuesday night at Philadelphia.
Forward Joakim Andersson missed his sixth straight game with a lower-body injury. He is expected to return against the Flyers or Friday night against Washington.

About The Malik Report
The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
