Darren Helm To Play Tonight

Darren Helm's return to the line up tonight could be the energy boost that the Detroit Red Wings have missed. Coming off of a game of bizarre puck luck the addition of Helm will be another step in the right direction for Detroit.

Whats this? Positive news in a Red Wings post? Is it the end of the world already?

Meh, it’s an injury to a guy who was only in the lineup because of all the injuries.

If Helm can stay healthy and some others start coming back, Emmerton’s hand will be irrelevant.

If Helm can stay healthy

...

- if the lions could win the Super Bowl

- if we could unlock the mystery of nuclear fusion

- if only we could reverse global warming ...

That’s what you call some real perspective right there.

I’d say the odds of Helm playing more than 10 games without having to sit out at least a couple of games with some kind of injury are just about zero.

Good news is good news.

Darren Helm replacing ]Cory Emmerton (hand) for #RedWings tonight against Blues. Only lineup change
8:22 AM - 20 Jan 2014

Jobu ought to take it up the what-what from Mr. Murphy.  Sans lube.

Hopefully Samuelsson is a permanent fixture in the reaname Sammy Lounge!!

Realistically, Cleary will play and even worse top 6 minutes.  I will just have to suffer with that until the off season. 1 back 6 to go!!!

Helm should help tonight, but we need more players off IR to win a few games in a row.
