That of course was $4.9M AAV for Weiss in DET on a 5 year deal.

If Brunner doesn’t re-sign, be prepared to lose a lot of charity shootout points. Between the loss of Brunner and the loss of the Spinorama (Bert’s best move), the Wings have lost two thirds of their top three shootout shooters.

I think it is very shortsighted letting Brunner go. He had great chemistry with Andersson and Nyquist. He showed that he can work through a slump and he showed he can perform in the playoffs.

Daniel Alfredsson? WTF do we need a 40 year old forward for?

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
