Penguins’ Gill out 2-4 weeks with shoulder injury;  Pesonen back to WBS

From the Penguins:

“Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Hal Gill will miss two to four weeks with a shoulder injury, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero.  Gill suffered the injury on December 6 at Ottawa during the third period.”

Another nagging injury for the Penguins.  However, as I mentioned during last night’s recap of the Pens’ 4-3 loss to Buffalo, I thought Ben Lovejoy played quite admirably in Gill’s absence, looks like he’s going to get an extended look, although Ryan Whitney is close to returning.

Also, Janne Pesonen was reassigned back to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.  Really frustrating watching him with the big boys.  HCMT didn’t him crap for playing time, and the time he got was on the 4th line.
