Notes:
- Pascal Dupuis left practice early on Wednesday. Unknown at this time whether he is injured, and if so, whether he will play on Thursday.
- Hal Gill practiced with the team Wednesday. Unknown at this time whether he will return to action on Thursday.
- Former Tampa Bay GM Jay Feaster was a guest on NHL Live on Wednesday and stated that the Penguins and Thrashers were discussing a “major trade”. That pretty much narrows it down, Kovalchuk and Staal plus various other pieces. Whatever, someone wake me when it’s official.
RUMORS DISCLAIMER: Since I’m new on the block here, it’s fair to let you know how I deal with rumors. I will never profess to be an “insider”, however personally, I enjoy reading rumors, especially as we get closer to the deadline. So while I doubt you’ll ever see me say “according to one of my sources” (‘cause I don’t have any), I will simply report the existence of rumors involving the Penguins. As always, take them with a grain of salt.
