Updated Pre Season Broadcast schedule

The Blackhawks have announced an updated pre season radio and television broadcast schedule. They are also going to be streaming one of the games on their official website, chicagoblackhawks.com. First, the internet viewing. The Hawks will be playing the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, September 20, at the Credit Union Center in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at 8:00 pm Central. Presented by AthletiCo Physical Therapy (thanks folks) the entire game can be seen on the a fore mentioned website. The game is also available through the iPhone app (too cool)  on the Blackhawks official mobile application. The WGN radio crew of John Wiedeman —hands down the most under appreciated announcer in the history of Chicago sports radio - -and ex Hawk Troy Murray will be the broadcast team. Intermission will have interviews just like a regular season broadcast. This is great news. Originally I thought I was going to have to wait until game 3 to see the boys in action.

Other games are as follows;

September 22, at Pittsburgh, versus the Penguins, can be heard on WGN Radio 720-AM. 6:00pm

September 25, at Detroit, versus the Red Wings, can be seen on WGN TV and heard on 720-AM. 4:00pm.

September 28, home , versus Detroit, can be seen on CSN-Chicago. 7:30pm.

September 30, home, versus Pittsburgh, can be seen on CSN-Chicago. 7:30 pm.

October 2, at Washington, versus the Caps’s, can be seen on WGN TV and heard on 720-AM. 4;00pm.

As always, all times listed are Central.

I’m not sure how the WGN Superstation works when it comes to these games, so if you’re out of town, check your local listings, as they say.
