Western conference predictions

Earlier tonight, I posted my Eastern conference predictions, and now I’ll do my picks for the West. I really don’t know that much about any of the teams, and I’ve seen each of them play just a few times, but as I always do, I’ll take a crack at it anyway. Like my Eastern picks, these will be bare-bones.
#1 San Jose v #8 Anaheim. I don’t think the Ducks stand a chance, so I’ll go with Sharks in four.
#2 Detroit v #7 Columbus. This is the Blue Jackets’ first ever trip to the post season, and as the old adage goes, you have to lose before you learn how to win. However, I think they’ll steal a game or two, making it somewhat interesting. Wings in six.
#3 Vancouver v #6 St. Louis. This might be one of the most boring or one of the most interesting matchups. I know nothing about the Blues and almost nothing about the Nucks. Nucks in seven.
#4 Chicago v #5 Calgary. Blackhawks want this so badly, and they’ll get it. Hawks in six.
