On Monday, the Hurricanes sadly announced that Thomas Thewes, one of the co-owners of the team, has passed away.
The 76-year old co-founder of Compuware passed away on Sunday after a two-year battle with leukemia.
In addition to being on the board of directors with Compuware, Thewes was the general partner and co-owner of the Carolina Hurricanes, the Plymouth Whalers of the OHL, and the Florida Everblades of the ECHL.
