USA 3 Switzerland 2:  This was the first close game of the quarterfinal round.  Tyler Parsons (Calgary prospect) was the winning American goalie. Joren Van Pottelberghe (Detroit prospect) was the losing Swiss goalie.  USA took a lead on goals by Jeremy Bracco (Toronto prospect) and Luke Kunin (Minnesota prospect).  Switzerland tied things up on two goals by Nico Hirschier (2017 draft eligible).  The US team took a lead on a power play goal by Jordan Greenway (Minnesota prospect) and held onto the lead for most of the third period.  This put USA into the medal round.

Canada 5 Czech Republic 3: Canada dominated this game in terms of puck possession and outshot the Czechs 41-19.  Connor Ingram (Tampa Bay prospect) was the winning Canadian goalie.  Jakub Skarek (2018 draft eligible) was the Cezch goalie.  David Kase (Philadelphia prospect) opened the scoring for the Czechs who led after the first period 1-0.  Canada largely took over in the second period and beyond.  Julien Gauthier (Carolina prospect) led the way with two goals.  Mitchell Stephens (Tampa Bay prospect) had a goal and two assists.  Thomas Chabot (Ottawa prospect) had an goal and an assist.  Anthony Cirelli (Tampa Bay prospect) and Kale Clague (Los Angeles prospect) each had two assists.  This put Canada in the medal round.
