Ryan Smyth on CBC After Hours

The Edmonton Oilers and the city of Edmonton were proud to welcome home Ryan Smyth with open arms this summer, but it was also the media that looked forward to interviews and post games with the man who literally bleeds for his team and goes back for more.

On CBC after hours this Saturday, Smyth spoke with Scott Oakes and Kevin Weekes on a variety of topics in front of several adoring fans.

Part 1 – Smyth’s take on the game against the Rangers, the kid line, questions from fans and on coming back to Edmonton

Part 2 More questions from fans, and more Smytty love

Oilers fans cannot get enough Smyth content. Thankfully, Smyth genuinely cares about his fans and makes for a great story.

About Oil Patch

Lisa McRitchie is a fairly new writer, online at least, but makes up for inexperience with passion for the game of hockey and memories of Mrs. Leskiw’s English AP class; who knew they would pay off one day.

Oil Patch focuses on the Edmonton Oilers, the Edmonton Oil Kings, The Oklahoma City Barons and Team Canada Hockey with game coverage, news updates, speculation and interviews.

Although the Oilers have had a difficult past decade… or three, here at Oil Patch, the future looks bright.
