Allan Maki at the Globe and Mail profiles Brett Wilson, “a Calgary businessman, [who] is interested in acquiring a stake in the Nashville Predators.”
“The Boots saga doesn’t bother me at all. He’s a shareholder who can’t pay his bills. What’s happening in the broad markets … that scares me,” Wilson said. “But I like what Nashville is going to do and has done. I’ve been to several games there. It’s a good team with a low payroll and enthusiastic fans.”
Wilson is currently partnered with David Freeman in the ownership of an English soccer team and of minor league baseball’s West Tenn Diamond Jaxx, so this isn’t a case of someone coming out of the blue, and it appears his interest is in purchasing a portion of the Boots Del Biaggio ownership position.
