The good folks powering Versus.com (no, it’s not Keith Jones) asked if I’d be interested in live blogging the All-Star Game or the skills competition. I foolishly choose the actual game rather than the skills competition. All-Star Games are very hit and miss, so drop by here to bring some snark into your viewing experience. Oh, and Versus has given me a few goodies to post when things get dull (most likely during the intermission), so be sure to stick around.
And a few other random thoughts going into All-Star weekend…
Ok, ok, so the Chief is the master of liveblogs. But since his beloved Red Wings are playing the Sharks tonight, well, now you have a second liveblog option. Or you could just open up a second browser window and have both liveblogs going on (recommended course of action).
While Tampa Bay celebrates having the Devil Rays actually do something meaningful, I’m much more interested in the beginning of the Steven Stamkos era. It’s 8:45 AM PST and I’m revved up for an actual regular season game. This post will be a liveblog of the first period between the Rangers and Lightning from Prague, Czech Republic (unfortunately, a family event will force me to Tivo the rest of the game) but rather than just comment on the game in general, I’m gonna answer the damn “Seen Stamkos?” question and put an emphasis on Stamkos and his shifts.
