Doan’s Agent Says Sabres Still In The Running

Don’t take this for more than what it is, but Terry Bross of Lagardere Unlimited did tell me less than an hour ago that the Sabres are still in the running for Shane Doan.  Bross wouldn’t say if Buffalo is willing to do a 4-year deal with his client.

“They are still on his list.” Bross said. “Out of respect for the team, I won’t comment on offers made.”

Buffalo is one of 6 teams believed to have made formal offers to Doan.

At last time checked , the Sabres threw 7.5 million / season , and only one season with an option for a second . But , don’t hold me to that .
7.5 MILLION FOR one player .............. and he’s not even guaranteed to play over 55 games . Sure , he will help with the ” young players ” , but , the players that the Sabres have , are already seasoned vets . They have played at least three season . Well , most of them . And , the only thing that they haven’t done yet , is to fire Ruff . That , my friends , is the reason they can’t make the playoffs . 14 Seasons and won what ? EXACTLY ! And how many seasons do the brass will learn that ? Another 14 seasons ? I thought that Pegalu wanted to win a couple of Cups ?  As long as Ruff the head coach in Buffalo , they aren’t going to win anything .
