NCAA Prospects Weekly Roundup

Fresh off of earning CCHA Player of the Month honors for October, Anders Lee continues to head the list of Islanders NCAA prospects.  Lee continues to lead the nation in goals with 10 and is tied for 7th in points with 14.  Corey Trivino, a senior forward at Boston University, propelled himself into the top 30 on the NCAA goal scoring list with one goal in Saturday night’s loss to UMass-Lowell.  Trivino has scored five goals in seven games this season for the Terriers.

Anders Lee-Notre Dame-The Irish had to settle for two ties this weekend against Northern Michigan.  Lee registered an assist and one shot on goal in Friday night’s game.  In Saturday night’s game, Lee registered six shots on goal.  The 6th ranked Irish host two games against Alaska next weekend.

Brock Nelson-University of North Dakota-UND suffered two tough losses this weekend against 5th ranked Minnesota in Minneapolis.  Nelson registered four shots on goal in Friday night’s game.  In a 3-2 loss on Saturday night, Nelson tallied one goal and registered three shots on goal.  The 15th ranked Fighting Sioux have next weekend off before traveling to Bemidji State for two games.

Scott Mayfield-University of Denver-DU battled to a 3-3 tie on Friday night against defending national champion Minnesota-Duluth and suffered a 4-0 loss in Saturday night’s game.  Mayfield was a +1 in Friday night’s game.  Mayfield did not play in Saturday night’s 4-0 loss to the Bulldogs.  The 8th ranked Pioneers host Colorado College on Saturday night in Magness Arena.
