Kukla's Korner Hockey

from Adam L. Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times,
With 11 games left, though, the Hawks still don’t know whether they’ll go with Corey Crawford or Ray Emery for the rest of the season and the playoffs.
“We’ve always been confident in both goalies,” Quenneville said. “That’s where we’re at.”
It’s not unheard of for teams to rely on two goalies in the playoffs. The Philadelphia Flyers reached the Stanley Cup finals against the Hawks two years ago by using Michael Leighton and Brian Boucher.
That’s not the preferred route. The Flyers signed Ilya Bryzgalov to a lucrative deal to resolve their issues.
It appeared Emery had the No. 1 job with six consecutive starts. But Crawford — who received a three-year deal in the offseason to be the No. 1 goalie — played hero Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues in a 4-3 shootout victory. If Quenneville has a preference, he isn’t showing his hand.
“We’re in the win-today mode,” Quenneville said. “We’re not looking too far in advance.”
