Watching, Or In This Case, Not Watching The Dallas Stars

via Barry Horn of the Dallas Morning News,

Through a dozen games on Fox Sports Southwest, the Stars are averaging a 0.5 rating, which translates into 12,857 homes. That’s the same as the five games that have aired on KTXA (Channel 21). It hasn’t helped that they’ve had to go up against postseason Rangers games and one Cowboys game.

The 0.5 on FSSW is down more than 30 percent from the 0.9 for the first 12 games on FSSW last season.

The nadir came Oct. 27, when the Kings-Stars on FSSW went head-to-head with Game 6 of the World Series. Yes, the almost-clinching Game 6, which drew a record 47.1 rating for a Rangers game. That’s 1.21 million homes. Kings-Stars drew a 0.1, which translates into 2,571 homes.
