I think Shanny is doing a great job and the videos are great.  As someone who never played the game, I learn a lot by watching them.

that was sorry.  those “hits” were more like general contact and none of them seperated the player from the puck.. I could only make it to the 2min mark but wow.  Watching a hockey game I wouldn’t even register “hits” like that.. This was a tutorial on how not to board someone, not a list of “good hits”.  A good hit changes the momentum of a game, seperates a player from the puck, establishes territorial dominance against your opponent, just don’t hit him in the head.  I’m not a fan of this Shanny vid

... and that’s why you didn’t see any good hits.  The second half of the video showed how to properly knock guys on their asses.

The ‘hits’ up to the 2 minute mark weren’t hits; they were examples of players not taking out other players in vulnerable positions.

the last two minutes were the ‘big hits,’ which included some monster shots such as Trevor Gillies (of all people) sending some poor sap about ten feet through the air—without breaking any rules, if you can believe that.
