Sorry, Columbus loses.

Up 3-2 with 37 seconds left in regulation, they give up both the tying and winning goal without securing a point, leaving them at 0-7-1 for the season.

Watch how…

That’s what you get with a defensive corps that’s as a whole AHL-caliber.

Got to be at this game.

Glad the young guys on the Sens got to be part of this. Exciting for them, but still easy enough to remind them how this could have gone the other way just as easily. Good job for Gonchar to be in on the winning goal, too - he’s had a rough ride this year.

Actually a few important moments before and between the goals -

Rundblad took a penalty and it appeared the Sens would be down a man for 2 of the last 2:30 - but then Alfredsson stole the puck on the penalty kill and got hauled down on the play so it went 4 on 4. Tying goal was scored with the goalie pulled, about 3 seconds before the Rundblad penalty ended - which meant with 36 seconds left the Sens had about a minute of powerplay time.

Chris Neil (who was great in this game) almost put the Sens back down when after a scrum in front of the net he started shoving the referee - he got a 10 minute misconduct instead, which was another lucky break for the Sens because it meant they didn’t lose the powerplay.

GWG starts with Alfie stealing it from the defender again behind the net.
