Vancouver’s Anthem Singer Half The Man He Used To Be

from Tara Carman of the Vancouver Sun,

Vancouver Canucks anthem singer Mark Donnelly had tried almost every weight-loss plan in the book — Atkins, Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig and even the grapefruit diet — before he hit upon the one that enabled him to drop 172 pounds over the last year and a half.

Good for him….he’ll never be Karen Newman tho. Maybe a nice haircut and a shave would help him lose another 50 lbs.

Reading that article about the HCG Diet gives me chills.  While good for Donnelly to lose the weight, holy hell, it’s a dangerous way to lose the pounds.

I agree with SYF.  Hopefully he keeps it off once he stops taking pregnancy hormones and starts eating above starvation levels.  I also wonder how much damage he’s done to his body that hasn’t been detected.

I’m with you.  Losing weight and keeping it off requires lifestyles changes.  Good for Donnelly that he was lost some weight, but the big let down from any freak diet method is that you’ll probably just gain the weight back if you don’t change.  I hope it all works out for him.
