Kukla's Korner Hockey

from Ed Willes of the Vancouver Province,
The Canucks should rally around their goalie. They should be giving it the old us-against-the-world. This is the way of the game and it usually works, especially with a goalie of Luongo’s pedigree.
But, for the Canucks’ sake, this situation had better resolve itself soon because it has the potential to take on a life of its own. The dissatisfaction expressed at Luongo on Tuesday night wasn’t because of a so-so outing against the Rangers. It’s not even about the first four games which has left him with a 1-2-1 start, a 3.70 GAA and an .856 save percentage.
It’s about last year’s Stanley Cup final. It’s about almost blowing a 3-0 lead to Chicago in the first round. It’s about back-to-back meltdowns against the Blackhawks the previous two post-seasons.
It’s about the accumulated baggage of the last three years. And that baggage looks like it’s starting to weigh him down.
