Edmonton Oilers forward Taylor Hall is out for the season and faces a long road to recovery from shoulder surgery.
Hall will undergo labral shoulder surgery on his left shoulder and hopes to be healthy again in time for next season.
“Recovery time will be between five and six months, so our hope is that Taylor will be ready for the start of next season.” said Oilers general manager Steve Tambellini. “He’s going to have an incredible career, so this is the right time to take care of business and get this (surgery) done.”
Hall injured the shoulder for the first time in junior and has been playing through it for most of this season.
“It’s not the way I envisioned my career starting, but I hope to stay healthy after this and be a good Oiler for a long time,” said Hall.
