Rats Tossed Out In Florida

from Tom Gulitti of Fire & Ice,

Florida Panthers President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Yormark posted on Twitter today that the team will not be selling plastic rats anymore at games at BankAtlantic Center—and blamed it on Devils’ fans that attended Game 5.

“Panthers will not sell rats at Pantherland,” Yourmark tweeted. “This is a result of visiting fans throwing rats on the ice during the game.”

Some fans threw the rats, which were being sold for $5 apiece, on the ice after each goal during the Panthers’ 3-0 Game 5 win over the Devils at BankAtlantic Center. They also threw rats on the ice after Panther goals in Games 1 and 2.

*eyeroll*  Yup, I’m SURE it was Devils fans spending $5/pop and then throwing them on the ice.

People will just buy them before they go the game.  Probably get more for less money anyway.

Rats can be thrown but not octopi?

I knew Yormark had a job with the Panthers.  The President’s in charge of rat control.

What are these “Devils fans” he’s referring to?

So the Rock is only about 1200 miles away from the epicenter of Devil fans, that could explain any attendance issues.
