Rangers Believe They Have A Top-Four Team

from Larry Brooks of the NY Post,

The Rangers expect to be a formidable team this year, there’s no question about that. They believe to a man that that they should battle for a top-four seed in the East rather than seventh or eighth. Marc Staal is down for an indefinite period of time, but every team has to deal with significant injuries and every team has to deal with adversity.

What (or who) every team doesn’t have, however, is Lundqvist, who at 29 is entering his seventh year in the NHL. It will need to be his best and it will need to be his most consistent.

And it will need it all to start today, in a spotlight unlike any other under which he has performed as a Ranger.

For that, Lundqvist is ready.
