Forty women have ate, slept and breathed hockey for the last 10 days. They’ve set a Guinness World Record for a good cause.
Referees hugged players and red roses were thrown on the ice after the game that was played for over a week. The record was set just after 11 a.m.
Volunteer organizer Meagan Wong says the whole event has been epic. “They’re mentally exhausted, they’re physically exhausted, and their bodies have absolutely taken a toll over the last 10 days. You know, 243 hours of hockey is equivalent to three NHL seasons.”
