Kukla's Korner Hockey

from Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal,
You can’t win on the Tweetasphere.
Even when you’re trying to say something nice about somebody, somebody takes a rip at you. I happened to think Ales Hemsky had a pretty good game against the Minnesota Wild Thursday. I thought he was noticeable as the game wore on after missing two games with sinus problems. OK, he was on the ice for Dany Heatley’s goal late in the second period; he seemed lost trying to pick up a man in front of Nikolai Khabibulin. But I thought Hemsky had some dangerous forays into the Wild end; at times he looked like the Hemsky we’ve seen for years, making checkers miss, for fun. He was trying, seriously attempting to make something happen.
Hemsky and I had a little tiff in the dressing room in Leduc on Wednesday. I wrote a piece saying he has to be more of a leader, among other things, but I thought he did some good stuff in his 20 shifts against the Wild. He got stronger as the game got into the third period after feeling his way into the game.
“I suppose you want some credit for that.” That was @TigerUnderGlass. Short and sarcastic.
